This is a oil painting from last year which I included in my last exhibition at studio 180 in Waterloo inspired by surrealism the piece is existential invoking the spirit of isolation by drawing parallels with remote locations or outskirts of cities where the remnants of power constructs hum, buzz and glimmer in the darkness silently with secret malevolence and menace.

This piece combines a title of a Slyvia Plath poem, rubens- The Fall of the Damned c. 1620 and a photograph of Bridget Riley taken from the cult of Britain book all found in crystal palace on this day 2012.
